Company milestones
Our history
The company was founded in October 2008. Initially, we focused on four areas: open source solutions, IT security on Linux and Unix platforms, SAP ERP implementation and GIS systems development. We gradually focused on GIS solutions.
The year of its creation was really turbulent. The financial crisis caused by the collapse of the US real estate market has started to affect the European market. In September 2008, the Wall Street stock market crashed and the investment bank Lehmann Brothers declared bankruptcy. This situation has halted the EU’s economic growth. Stock market crashes followed. The Slovak economy suffered as a result of low foreign demand. The turnaround came in the autumn of 2009.
In 2009, we hired our first employees. We presented ourselves to the professional public at the Rescue Forum 112 conference in 2012 in Žilina.
One of our first solutions implemented for our partner was the development of a geographic information system for the ESKN electronic land registry service.
Subsequently, as a partner, we developed a GIS solution for the Census of Population, Houses and Flats (CODB) project, which was part of the global census programme carried out by Eurostat in coordination with the United Nations.
As another exceptional project, we implemented the ZBGIS solution for our partner to complete the Geographical Information System at the Office of Cartography, Geodesy and Cadastre of the Slovak Republic.
We have managed to connect individual operation centres with the map and map portal and to unify the map environment used to support crisis management on emergency call lines.
In 2019, we founded Zymestic Solutions a.s. in the Czech Republic, where we are dedicated to creating GIS solutions for the state and local government segment.
